Performance “Pillow Talk” / Marta Jovanovic

Marta Jovanovic performed “Pillow Talk” at the Radisson Blu Old Mill Hotel in Belgrade after performing it in New York in 2015 at the gallery Bosi Contemporary. .

Audience was invited every day from May 19 to 31, 2016, from 6pm to 9pm to visit the newly founded performance art space The Room and to spend time in bed with Marta Jovanovic and visiting performers - young artists, Performancehub students and to create a dialogue automatically defined by the atmosphere of the hotel room. “Pillow Talk” performance interrogates relationship and boarders between  the artist and the audience, as well as domains of the private and the public.

In 2012 Marta Jovanović received a prestigious prize Roma Capitale for distinguished artistic contribution in Italy. She participated as a speaker at Venice Agendas at the 55th Venice Biennial along with Joan Jonas and Hans Ulrich Obrist. Jovanović founded PerformanceHUB, a year long performance art certificate program in collaboration with digital and performance art gallery G12 HUB, as well as artist in residence program and alternative performance art space The Room in collaboration with Radisson Blu Old Mill Hotel, all in Belgrade, Serbia.
