Movie projection “The F Word“ / Robert Adanto


Movie projection was held on Wednesday, 24th of February at 8 p.m. at Cinemala in Peron, in Brace Krsmanovic 12 street.

Robert Adanto's The F Word explores radical “fourth-wave” feminist performance through interviews with a new generation of feminist artists who use their bodies as subject matte to delve into the fecund territory of female sexuality, self-objectification, and the female form as a site of resistance. The movie will be held within Performance HUB program.

Biography of the Director:

A classically-trained actor and documentary filmmaker, Robert Adanto earned his MFA at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Mr. Adanto made his directorial debut with The Rising Tide (2008), a feature-length documentary, exploring the explosive Chinese contemporary art scene. Pearls on the Ocean Floor (2010), his second film, examines the lives and works of Iranian female artists living and working in and outside the Islamic Republic. His third documentary City of Memory (2014) explores the ways in which the cataclysmic events in the wake of Hurricane Katrina became imprinted on the memory of visual artists from New Orleans. Mr. Adanto's films have screened at over seventy international film festivals and have been presented at The Smithsonian Institution, The MFA Boston, LACMA, The Hammer Museum, The Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, The National Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow, The Queensland Art Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane, Australia, and others.
